Hello! My name is Victoria Parsloe. I am a nature-integrated illustrator and art educator located in New Jersey.
As an enthusiast of all things natural and my artwork reflects this passion.
I graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art in 2017 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Throughout my four years of undergraduate studies I focused on drawing and videography but also completed courses in sculpture, art history, literature, and painting. During my junior year I studied abroad in Ireland at The Burren College of Art and began creating art surrounding themes of sustainability and cabin living. Overwhelmingly inspired by the solidarity I found in the abundant natural landscape of Ireland, I began my journey with my art practice.
When I am not creating lesson plans or drawing cabins you can find me hiking with friends, watching The Office for the hundredth time, or snuggling with my dog, Sula. I am always striving to live as sustainably with as little of a ecological footprint as possible. From bamboo toothbrushes to bulk shopping, I am always on the lookout for new ways to alter my habits to be more environmentally conscious.
I believe that the fusing of nature, art and education possess the most important lessons of life. I am continuously reflecting on my practice, accepting feedback and always looking for new ways to grow, personally and professionally.
